The fix for 7157309 is fine, but I'm not sure I understand the problem described by 7111616. What's misleading about the double message? And neither message has as much information as the two of them put together, so dumping either one seems like a loss. You could always follow Martin's second suggestion, but testing for existence is always a risky proposition. Can you get in touch with Martin and find out what the problem is here? Also, please don't forget to update the bug status appropriately while you're working on them.
