Hi
Is there any way to get the above to be auto cleared, basically I have a lot
of BE's on my test systems, basically one per SRU build.
I tend to create and destroy lots of native zones and have noticed that this
directory is in the order of 400Mb per BE, is this normal, if so is there
some way to control this other than manually cleaning it up.
I have the pkg property
flush-content-cache-on-success True
but this does not apply to the sysrepo cache dir.
Not that this answers your question, but perhaps we should create this in
/var/share? Is there any reason this data couldn't be shared between BEs
(and not get tied down by snapshots)?
The only reason to keep it BE-specific (and the reason why /var/cache
isn't shared currently) is that cache formats may change across BEs, and
I'm not sure how well consumers in /var/cache will react to that.
Now, this being Apache, the chances of it's cache format changing seems
pretty slim, so you're probably fine.
In the meantime, there is a SMF property 'config/cache_dir' for the
system-repository service that lets users change that location,
potentially to a dataset that is shared across boot environments, which
would fix your immediate problem.
cheers,
tim
Ditto with cached download data (when we're not flushing it) and even
cached manifests ...
