I have an SRU7.5 installation that I found was missing package entire. I ran
the following command and got the following output:
% pkg install -nv entire
Packages to install: 1
Estimated space available: 436.25 GB
Estimated space to be consumed: 57.49 MB
Create boot environment: No
Create backup boot environment: No
Rebuild boot archive: No
Changed packages:
solaris
entire
None -> 0.5.11,5.11-0.175.0.7.0.5.0:20120507T145736Z
The 57.49 MB value for estimated space above seem very wrong here.
Is there a reason for such a huge value or is this a bug? As you can
see no other packages are to be pulled in here. And indeed executing
the command shows a much smaller payload -
% pkg install entire
Packages to install: 1
Create boot environment: No
Create backup boot environment: No
DOWNLOAD PKGS FILES XFER (MB)
Completed 1/1 3/3 0.0/0.0
