I have a Solaris production server sitting at s11 build 155, and need to
bring it up to date.
pkg syntax seems to have changed or escapes me for this.
Here are the system details;
root@hcldev:~# pkg info entire

Summary: incorporation to lock all system packages to same build
Description: This package constrains system package versions to the same
build. WARNING: Proper system update and correct package

I found old emails that seem to indicate there were problems going
direct to latest.
So the emails suggested first going to build 167, then to 175b.
But I can't get working syntax.
If I try;
root@hcldev:~# pkg install -nv [email protected]
Creating Plan |
pkg install: No matching version of entire can be installed:
pkg://solaris/[email protected],5.11-0.167:20110605T201208Z: Package
contains invalid or unsupported actions
Any suggestions? I can't find examples of proper syntax or flag-days
for this.
Cheers,
Neal
