Source: evolution Followup-For: Bug #754627 Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Creating account in Evolution, specifying the local Maildir. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Just created new account in Evolution, specified the Maildir folder. * What was the outcome of this action? Evolution started renaming files, and totally destroyed the Maildir folder. There were maybe 12000 other Maildir folders inside. I can rename them back, however, it is now total mess. I have to make a script to rename these files properly back or use renamer batch. * What outcome did you expect instead? EVOLUTION SHOULD SIMPLY READ MAILDIR FOLDERS. Not rename and move so many folders without user's consent. THIS PACKAGE SHALL BE REMOVED TOTALLY FROM DEBIAN. I have never seen something weird like this. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) _______________________________________________ Pkg-evolution-maintainers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-evolution-maintainers
