Hi, When looking for a solution to fix an horrible sound for my correspondents during phone calls done with my OpenMoko FreeRunner running Debian unstable, I was pointed at the QtMoko configuration for which there isn't such an annoyance. Hence I've compared the alsa mixer settings between Debian and QtMoko v16. The main difference lies in: --- gsmhandset.state 2010-02-01 15:33:27.000000000 +0100 +++ qtmoko.state 2010-02-01 16:04:41.000000000 +0100 @@ -608,7 +640,7 @@ comment.item.3 'Right PGA' iface MIXER name 'Mic Sidetone Mux' - value 'Mic 2' + value 'Right PGA' } control.64 { comment.access 'read write' Searching more on the web led me to this[1] page confirming the correctness of the QtMoko configuration. I've tested it on my FR and I can state that the sound is *much* better for my correspondents. So, please, update the fso-config-gta02 package to set the value 'Right PGA' (or at you convenience, 'Left PGA') for control.63 in gsmhandset.state. Thanks in advance, _g.
