With the libpixbufloader-jpeg.so from the new version of the libgtk2.0-0-package Thunar file manager can't create thumbnails of jpeg files bigger than around 250kB anymore. I know that this file causes the error because I replaced it with the older version from the stable release etch and everything works fine. What you can do to reproduce the error: $ rm -R ~/.thumbnails (to delete all existing thumbnails) $ Thunar -q (to exit all running versions) $ Thunar Then go to a directory with jpeg images bigger than 250kB and you won't see any thumbnails but many of the following errors on the console: "/usr/lib/thunar/thunar-vfs-pixbuf-thumbnailer-1: Error interpreting JPEG image file (Application transferred too few scanlines)." As I said, If I replace the file /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-jpeg.so (not more, just this file) with the version from etch everything works fine. The thumbnails are created and there are no error messages.
