Package: podman
Version: 5.8.3+ds1-1
Severity: normal

I ran podman compose and saw the following output:

----
% podman compose up
>>>> Executing external compose provider "/usr/bin/podman-compose". Please see
>>>> podman-compose(1) for how to disable this message. <<<<
----

However, this is not true and the podman-compose manual page does not
contain this information.

I would like to disable this warning because I find it irksome.
Warnings should be actionable by the user and this is complaining about
the fact that what I wanted (and almost certainly what every other user
using podman wants) is being done.

Note that this is not the same as #1080271, which requests that the
upstream manual page be shipped. I don't care whether or not Debian
ships the upstream manual page; any suitably informative manual page is
fine with me. (A brief inspection of the upstream manual page indicates
that it does not describe the options or arguments, so it would not be
suitably infomative, though.) However, I want the warning gone and I do
not want `podman compose` to say false things. In the age of LLMs,
accuracy and honesty is very important and we should not tolerate
software of any sort making false statements.

In that context, providing the upstream manual page (if suitably
informative) would be fine as long as it describes a trivially easy way
to disable the warning on a permanent basis. Removing the warning would
also be a fine alternative as well, and perhaps even preferable.
