I have been using different branch names, and I made it pretty explicit to the team, so nobody was surprised. About leaving things alone or not, we all have preferences, and personally I don't like some of yours, but let's try to discuss it with proper arguments. "I don't like it" is not a great argument, but I am open for convincing if you make a good case.
