I did explicitly upload it, because we have a number of packages which
depend on it, e.g. golang-github-gin-gonic-gin, nomad,
etcd, golang-github-siddontang-ledisdb, packer, …

What makes you say we don’t need it in the archive anymore? And why is
there not a request for removal bug filed with the rationale? I couldn’t
find anything on tracker.d.o.
