I uploaded jetty-5.1.5rc2 to fnogol.de/debian. I managed to build this with kaffe and jikes. Please try if you can build it on ppc. I tried running jetty on kaffe and by today is seems to work! I've got kaffe=2:1.1.5-5 on my mashine and I do not remember any earlier version which was able to run jetty.
