As of March, 20, 2008, I got from Sun's Java web site ( http://www.java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp ) the binary file called "jre-6u5-linux-x64.bin". make-jpkg utility failed to make a package from it. With the following patch the installation completed successfully.
