It also produces byte-code for the JVM therefore organizes things in the same way Java does. > I propose to have a separate pkg-clojure-maintainers project at alioth > and would like to volunteer to create one. Closure is already maintained by the Debian Java team, as far as I can see. It's really hard to tell if it's reasonable to have a different group working on that. From a packaging perspective, I think it is very much like Java, and the same rules and policies apply. I terms of language, they are totally different. One can expect someone with experience in Java packaging fixing bugs in a Clojure package, but probably not to fix a bug in the code. So it seems to be a question of what you want to achieve in a Clojure group. I can see that having a different group is worthwhile, if there is close interaction with the Java team. I have to say that I came across Clojure lately and really like it, though I probably can't put effort into that. But it's great to see that there are people caring for it! So thanks for your effort, be it in a separate group or not! :) Best regards Manuel _______________________________________________ pkg-java-maintainers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers
