L.S,

I just noticed that Ubuntu replaces JDK_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts with a symlink to /etc/java-6-sun/security/cacerts, this allows for installing updated Java packages without overwriting the cacerts file and losing any user-installed certificates. Is there a reason it is not done this way in Debian? Or might this be a good feature-request?

Best regards,

Tomas Salfischberger
