-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I've got a question (which has possibly been beaten to death: sorry if it is so) Is there any effort underway to get a recent-ish Solr (say >= 3.4) packaged for Debian? Looking at packages.debian.org all I see is Solr 1.4.1, which is somewhat ancient. Background: at $WORK someone wants to set up a Solr instance. I'd much prefer Debian as operating system, and in case there is, a packaged Solr. I'm quite aware that packaging Java for Debian isn't for the faint of heart, so please don't take this as some strange form of "hidden criticism". Should I go the way of installing myself from JARs or whatever: are there any recommendations you'd send my way? Thanks a million - -- tomás -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFPuSX+Bcgs9XrR2kYRAlOfAJsG2QUi9GmNB6WyH2wGiUFz51aMiACeM/8T QJuKRxbTVJeYSvxEAaqjBuM= =3oxh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- __ This is the maintainer address of Debian's Java team <http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-java-maintainers>.
