Package: libffado2 Version: 2.0.99+svn2171-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
On my system, every program which links against libffado prints the following message when the program runs: Cannot create thread 1 Operation not permitted This happens regardless of how the library is used. For example, running the following code will demonstrate the issue: echo "int main(void) { return 0; }" | gcc -o dummy -lffado -xc - ./dummy The error is being printed at src/debugmodule/debugmodule.cpp:404 because the debug client thread can not be created with SCHED_FIFO scheduling priority. Any way we can either avoid the error, avoid printing the error message (if it's not serious), or make the error message a bit more useful for users?
