I've just re-tried and it seems that I am *no longer* able to reproduce the bug! It looks like the issue vanished without me noticing... :-( I am sorry I haven't realized earlier and thus I haven't told you. On the other hand, I am happy that the bug seems to no longer affect current Debian testing. I don't know which upgrade solved the issue (it's hard to say, after several weeks of daily Debian testing upgrading!), but it seems to no longer be here. I think you may close the bug report (and inform upstream). I will reopen it, in case the issue shows up again. Thank you for all the time you dedicate to this package.
