Subject: blender: Segfaults at startup on armhf Package: blender Version: 2.63a-1 Severity: important
I'm trying to test Blender's performance under an armhf machine; sadly, whatever I do to try and start Blender up results in a segfault. Either starting Blender up with a file to process or starting it up with no arguments results in an immediate segfault: $ blender -b -noaudio Segmentation fault I will try installing the version in unstable (the system is currently a pure Wheezy one). I'm not using a Debian-provided kernel, as I understand support for the specific subarchitecture is not yet mainline. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: armhf (armv7l) Kernel: Linux 3.0.35-8 (SMP w/4 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages blender depends on: ii fonts-droid 20111207+git-1 ii libavcodec53 6:0.8.10-1 ii libavdevice53 6:0.8.10-1 ii libavformat53 6:0.8.10-1 ii libavutil51 6:0.8.10-1 ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u1 ii libfftw3-3 3.3.2-3.1 ii libfontconfig1 2.9.0-7.1 ii libfreetype6 2.4.9-1.1 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.2-5 ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 8.0.5-4+deb7u2 ii libglew1.7 1.7.0-3 ii libglu1-mesa [libglu1] 8.0.5-4+deb7u2 ii libgomp1 4.7.2-5 ii libilmbase6 1.0.1-4 ii libjack-jackd2-0 [libjack-0.116] 1.9.8~dfsg.4+20120529git007cdc37-5 ii libjpeg8 8d-1 ii libopenal1 1:1.14-4 ii libopenexr6 1.6.1-6 ii libopenjpeg2 1.3+dfsg-4.7 ii libpng12-0 1.2.49-1 ii libpython3.2 3.2.3-7 ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.15-5 ii libsndfile1 1.0.25-5 ii libstdc++6 4.7.2-5 ii libswscale2 6:0.8.10-1 ii libtiff4 3.9.6-11 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1+deb7u1 ii libxi6 2:1.6.1-1+deb7u1 ii python3.2 3.2.3-7 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.7.dfsg-13 blender recommends no packages.
