Package: xbmc
Version: 2:13.2+dfsg1-4
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I installed "xbmc" on Debian stable, then did "adduser xbmc", then added
this user to some groups (cdrom, audio, video, plugdev, powerdev).
It mostly works OK, but I can't get XBMC to suspend the machine.
When I click on the "power" button in the lower left corner, I'm only
offered to "Exit", whereas I expected other options like Suspend/Hibernate.
Also in the "Settings => System => Power Saving", the "Shutdown function"
only offers 2 options that are weirdly named: "?0?" and "?-1?".
I originally tried it with systemd/logind and upower installed, and based on
some suggestions found on the net I also tried to uninstall "upower"
but the result was the same.
The ~xbmc/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log file contains the following apparently related
information which did not give me enough hints as to what's going on:
09:53:53 T:2989520768 INFO: Selected Logind/UPower as PowerSyscall
09:53:53 T:2989520768 ERROR: DBus: Error
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name org.freedesktop.UPower was
not provided by any .service files
09:53:53 T:2989520768 INFO: LogindUPowerSyscall - UPower not found, battery
information will not be available
09:53:53 T:2989520768 DEBUG: LogindUPowerSyscall - inhibit lock taken, fd 10
13:53:55 T:2989520768 DEBUG: LogindUPowerSyscall - Received unknown signal
NameAcquired
This is with "upower" uninstalled. When it is installed the result is
the same except that the ERROR line is absent.

It seems to be working in latest Kodi.
