There was a huge transition and many of the issues around Debian these days were caused by that transition. Feel free to abuse your patience waiting for more few days/weeks and purge your sources.list files to a sane manner (e.g., dropping sh*t like deb-multimedia.org repository, unsupported by the entire world except its maintainer himself).
