From debhelper(7) compat 11 section:

It isn't stated there, but for packages named "libX-doc", the main
package becomes "libX-dev", so if you run debdiff on the old and new
libgig-doc, you should find the documentation has moved to
/usr/share/doc/libgig-dev.
