Hi. I noticed the mailing list archive for pkg-osm-maint@lists.alioth.debian.org is filled with spam. Did you consider making the list moderated, only allowing subscribers to post directly (and adding a whitelist of other addresses allowed to post directloy) to avoid the spam making it to subscribers?
The moderation job become fairly easy when using the listadmin package and script in Debian. With a properly set up ~/.listadmin.ini file, one can moderate a list in a few seconds. I do this my self for the mailman lists I maintain, and the 60 lists I moderate only take me a minute every morning. :) This is an example .listadmin.ini file: username u...@domain.com password secret spamlevel 23 default discard discard_if_reason "Posting restricted to members only. Remove us from your mail list." adminurl https://{domain}/mailman/admindb/{list} pkg-osm-maint@lists.alioth.debian.org Cc to pkg-osm-maint@lists.alioth.debian.org, to let every subscriber know about the idea. :) -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen _______________________________________________ Pkg-osm-maint mailing list Pkg-osm-maint@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-osm-maint
