Hi!
I have been analyzing packages for the piuparts test, and have
observed that libgphoto2-2 fails the piuparts because it doesn't purge
some files.
The gzipped log of the piuparts run for libgphoto2-2 is
attached. The problem is that the process
Install Etch libgphoto2-2 -> upgrade to sid -> purge
seems to let the following files remain unremoved:
/etc/hotplug not owned
/etc/hotplug/usb not owned
/etc/hotplug/usb/libgphoto2 owned by: libgphoto2-2
/etc/shadow not owned
/usr/share/hal owned by: libgphoto2-2
/usr/share/hal/fdi owned by: libgphoto2-2
/usr/share/hal/fdi/preprobe not owned
/usr/share/hal/fdi/preprobe/10osvendor not owned
WARNING: Just to make a known point again, to be sure: Please note
that directories not belonging to libgphoto2-2 alone should be removed
only if they are empty.
Please consider fixing this bug, as it is a Lenny release
recommendation [1].

Can't reproduce this with lenny's or newer versions of the package and current
piuparts from git. Parts of the leftover files could have been caused by an
old dpkg bug. Thus closing.
