Currently this information is used to create a general Debian BibTeX file (see [1]) rather as a proof of concept as well as on the Tasks pages of scientific Blends (quite good example is med-bio[2] - see "Please cite" strings). I would like you to apply the attached diff to ruby-bio Git repository which should be sufficient (we are parsing Vcs rather than waiting for uploads - so in principle you can close this bug right after a Git push). I would have commited the change myself but the pkg-ruby-extras repository does not seem to be writable for all DDs. This might make be a sensible thing to do - just ask Alioth admins for setting ACLs accordingly.
