Right. I simply could not think of a way to attach gdb to process 1,
and I wouldn't know how to produce an strace from a core dump.
However, systemd-cordump gave me this to work with, which, I figured,
would be a good start.

Am I to assume that the trace you attached was produced using that core dump?
