No, after rebooting it is just:
# pstree -al|head
  |-console-kit-dae --no-daemon
  |   |-{console-kit-dae}
  |   |-{console-kit-dae} x 62

I tried purging consolekit as I don't know what it is all about, but
that tried to take xserver-xorg along with it, so I backed off.

Anyways, aren't Debians mainly single user systems? Maybe have the
default be one process, and allow the Dreamhosts to set
TONS_OF_PROCESSES=67 or whatever.
