Package: thunar
Version: 1.0.1-1
Severity: important
Thunar has just started (recent update, I'm thinking?) failing to mount
a USB flash drive. It's not a drive/system problem, since I can mount it
fine with "pmount /dev/sda" and then access it in Thunar. I get this
error message, which doesn't mean anything to me:
Failed to mount "USB Disk".
org.freedesktop.hal.storage.mount-removable no <-- (action,
result).
There were no errors on the terminal, and I couldn't find any errors in
the system logs (but maybe I'm not looking in the right places). The
drive is a 256 MB Fujifilm formatted with FAT32 and no partition table.
Thunar was mounting it fine a day or two ago.
I'm not sure whether this should be an important or a normal bug, since
I'm not sure if something about my system or this particular drive is
triggering it or if it would happen on any hardware.

It's PolicyKit based now.

You should use "startx" which has Xsession.d integration (see
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/90consolekit) and launches a ConsoleKit session.
If you want to keep your custom start script, you should launch your
session with ck-launch-session.
Not a bug in hal, thus closing.

Michael
