The problem is most certainly bound to the sysfs-patch. I've rebuilt the plugin from the source package (just configure && make, without applying the Debian patches) and copied it over the original file in /usr/lib/xfce4-battery-plugin. This does report the correct values for percentage and remaining time. Here's some more system info Yves-Alexis has requested from previous reporters: $> ls /sys/class/power_supply C1B2 C1B4 C1B2 seems to be the ac adapter (its type file sys "Mains") while C1B4 is the real battery (type "Battery") I've also rebuilt the plugin (with all Debian patches) with --debug-enabled=yes - Sample output: $> xfce4-panel DBG[battery.c:318] update_apm_status(): Updating battery status...
