A few days ago, my competition "Something Wicked This Way Comes" ended and I
really enjoyed the entries.
First Place goes to Cassandra El'sin for an excellent piece, taking the
premise in a direction that I hadn't considered.
Second Place goes to Mograine for a nice depiction of.... enhanced
interrogation.
Third Place goes to Kaira Rohana for putting the spotlight on a new
Brotherhood member and his initial experiences with Plagueis.

A couple notes for the good of everyone.
Don't forget to put your Name and Pin clearly on the document. There isn't
any point in being anal for a competition like this, but when it comes to
bigger, Brotherhood competitions, you want to make sure that it's easy as
possible for the graders. If they've got to go searching to find out who
actually wrote the piece, that's never a good thing.
Don't be afraid to take chances with your writing. The competition topic
should be a springboard, not a hinderance. More often than not, taking a
chance and writing something different than what the grader expected will
give you an edge against the competition.
Leave some of the story up to the grader's imagination. This may seem
counter-intuitive, but what you really want to do is frame your piece in the
context of a larger story. Nothing happens in a vacuum and occasionally
showing in your writing that things are happening outside the scope of the
story itself puts your writing in a larger context.

Congratulations to everyone who won, and thanks to everyone who
participated. Crescents are on their way.
I plan to resume the Monthly Chronicles of a Clan in the beginning of May.
