on the CD/DVD it is not compressed, but it is on TCL. I will think about this, but getting a live cd/dvd was not a part of my core objectives. If it is something I can do quickly, then it is worth doing, otherwise it is a major distraction. It looks like k3b, et al., are not working for dvd for some reason. Not sure why.
