Yes, I invoke remember from within a particular project page.
Furthermore, I use planner-multi, which allows me to save the
note on one or more project pages.
And I occasionally use planner-timewarp, which allows me to back-date
such notes.

Whatever page you're on when you invoke the remember command becomes
the default page, and the daily page is included as well. My trick is
to be on the project page I'm writing the note about when I create a
new note with remember.
