I had a couple of data losses of the encrypted timelog files, probably
due to improper passphrase entry on decryption.

So I have turned on
(setq version-control t)
as well now.

Alas, I don't have tla available on my XP machine.

I have some leads, but perhaps somebody here has some proven advice to
get this set up?
