I should have been more specific.  I do use the task pool for the
default place to put tasks, but sometimes I put tasks in more specific
categories, although I don't assign a date to them.  It would be nice
if there were a way to access these tasks (spread out over possibly
multiple plan pages) without a date.  Does that clarify things?
