The encouraging, but unhelpful, answer is yes, since I used to have this set up at some point, but I seem to have deleted it at some point. On a more helpful note it looks adding planner-deadline-change to planner-create-task-hook and/or planner-create-task-from-buffer-hook should do the trick. D > 2.
