Welcome back! I guess I'm coming back after some time of absence too,
given the date of the message I'm replying too ;).

Maybe someone else can correct me, but I don't think we have a way to do
that. Do you use day pages at all? Because if not, you can set
planner-use-day-pages to nil, and that will get rid of the date prompt.
