Well, I have decided not to go a-head with the PS3 with Asterisk. I found that the available RAM once another O/S is installed is less than 256MB out of a possible 512MB. The only real interest then is in the Cell processor clocking at 3.2Ghz for which, we already have the pleasure of using in a production environment.
