We have been struggling to reduce necrosis after Agrobacterium treatment in
Eucalyptus, poplar, hop and other woody plant species for many years. For
example, we have tried PVP10, PVP40, PVPP, vitamin C, lipoic acid, proline,
activated charcoal, and silver nitrate in various concentrations and
configurations with little success.

Are there approaches or treatments others have had success with?
