Do not animate the window preview. It is not supported by KWin. If we need to animate it we actually change properties inside KWin to have it with good performance. If you go through the taskbar thumbnails effect KWin cannot know that you actually animate the thumbnail - we have no way to specify that through the API. Animating just the position is fine, but changing the size is the problem. If you want to see that use the Present Windows effect and set the animation speed to very slow to notice it. During the animations the windows look "different" compared to after the animations stopped.
