Hi Martin, Thank you very much for the reply. Based on what you mentioned, I was able to upgrade from KDE 4.3.4 to 4.10.2 with the commands below. It's still not the latest though.
########## upgrade KDE desktop from 4.3.4 to 4.10.2 su cd /etc/yum.repos.d/ wget http://apt.kde-redhat.org/apt/kde-redhat/redhat/kde.repo wget http://apt.kde-redhat.org/apt/kde-redhat/redhat/kde-i386.repo yum --skip-broken --enablerepo=kde groupupdate "KDE Desktop" ################################################# However, after the upgrade, I think I still see the same issue. I attached another panel picture after the upgrade.Again, I'm in Desktop 4(the upper right corner), but hard to tell that from the attached image. Maybe this issue is fixed in even later version? As I use virtual desktop a lot(sometimes over 10 desktops), being able to locate the active desktop is very useful for me. Thanks,J. Unfortunately you use a rather dated version. (4.3 got released in 2009, our latest release in the 4.x series is 4.11 with our latest release being 5.1). Since 2009 the visuals got reworked several times and in the latest version it is very easy to recognize which desktop one is on. >From our side as the upstream developers there is nothing we could do about it, you would have to contact your distributor to provide a later version of KDE. Best Regards Martin Gräßlin
