Just to add to whatever Alex dislikes, I personally dislike the
"Welcome" page. It looks IMHO outdated and it is also IMHO pretty much
useless.

I'm looking forward to your solution of
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=546115 which will be a
much nicer user experience IMHO, especially if it will be done similar
as it was done in Code.
