Hi,

I have jotted down my experience with the current Github migration.

  1. Foundation has indicated shutting down of Bugzilla and Git/gerrit in mid
2020, by Denis Roy while announcing summer break at eclipse foundation, with a
timeline of two years. And reiterated the same 6 months later.
  2. Only in Jan 2021 there is some discussion on the migration. Not much
interest from team leads.
  3. Started shutdown of services via Bug
577150<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=577150> - Eclipse
Foundation service cleanup superbug
  4. Eclipse TLP plan was created around 3Q/4Q of 2021 and discussed in
parallel
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dFAGX2P5cKnmfppyGhTqUIt0iGAHaRXm1BW7_hVufBw/edit#heading=h.xjpu1qh9h2d
  5. With not much interest and there are tasks that needs to be done. We
started migrating source repositories.
  6. At the same time we are learning usage of github

Let's focus on what needs to be done rather than what should have been done. We
would have liked to have involvement of more contributors in the initial stage.
Due to lack of interest, we had to go ahead with the existing plan

It's not too late please give your your suggestions as an issue and link them
in Eclipse TLP improvement
suggestions<https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform/issues/10>

Thanks and Regards,
Sravan
