Makes sense to me. I'm just not sure if we should still keep 5.2, AFAIK there are no problems upgrading 5.2 -> 5.3 (no big incompatible changes?). So I would leave 5.3 and 5.5, and maybe even drop 5.5 when 5.6 comes out.
