i need some help with this. It works corectly only when udev is used as static dev replacement, and i got no idea why. This stuff is evil, things that are not fstab related (like digicams) working, but the rest simplly won't.
nobody cares? ;)
i was wrong, it works. just forgot to replace s/\dev/\udev/ for fstab hardoced entries like cdrom, floppy.
I'm about to uncomment hal patch in gnome-vfs2 (after little hal tuninng - look at hal.spec TODO list). but it needs more _testing_! Artur Flinta reported problems with pendrive automounting, but i do not own such hardware and i'm not able to figure what is wrong (i guess, i must to buy one ;). What you thing about it? any volunteers to test it? It can be a nice thing to put _fully working_ hal stuff in AC... BTW. it will be great to backport some udev changes from head to AC-branch like rules, premissions, etc.
I have reported problem with pendrive 2 days ago (not sure but it work ok before - strange) that after I install pendrive system said he cannot mount device, only root can do it. I have to investige that
