why wrong? /bin/ping is for daemons, /usr/bin/ping is for lusers (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]) i need nagios monitoring daemon to execute /bin/ping. and i don't feel good giving it adm group membership just for that. altho what permissions does give being in icmp group i don't know (haven't seen doc about that), but perhaps if the reason of being wrong is too many privileges, create new group "ping" for that ankry on #pld said another group? can't you use icmp? ps: the 1.30 was done 5 years ago, and by kloz... (uups) ps2: don't double copy me, i'm on devel-en@ list, otherwise i wouldn't be posting there :) -- glen _______________________________________________ pld-devel-en mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pld-linux.org/mailman/listinfo/pld-devel-en
