I think, using ldap with samba needs --with ldapsam bcond - FIXME if Im
wrong.
that package is unrelated to samba itself (that package has no deps on samba),
it just adds samba.schema for openldap
it's in samba package because samba sources provide the samba.schema
for the commit you replied, the samba.schema depends other ldap schemas
(provided by base openldap-servers):
- cosine.schema for uid
- inetorgperson.schema for displayName
- nis.schema for gidNumber

but speaking ot ldapsam, then it's the obsoleted old samba 2.2 ldap schema
