So I am assuming if I want to get a disk image to boot from (that would
be useful) I need to do it the bochs way?
Is there a way i could just do a
dd if=/dev/hdax of=linuxhd.disk
?
I have done that with a grub bootdisk but when i tried to do it with my
installed grub harddisk partition I must have calculated the CHS wrong
or the image just didn't work. Is there an easy way to find out the
CHS? or better yet is there an easy way to make a disk image that is
useful? (not 10M.freedos.. though I guess it could have some use)
Thanks,
David
