Until I passed my General written at the same time as my Tech exam in
December (both are tests for US Amateur Radio licenses), I had
absolutely no interest in morse code whatsoever. But seeing as I now
need 5WPM to make my General written actually *worth* something, I'm
working on it.
It took me about 2-3 minutes to translate that morse code, and I had to
refer to a chart to determine that one of the letters was what I
thought it was. Had I heard it, I would have been able to translate it
as I heard it (as long as it were at 5-10WPM). The difference between
seeing and hearing morse code is vast. It's the difference between
teaching a child to speak or to read. One is definitely easier.
What does this have to do with Plex86? Absolutely nothing! Never make
the mistake about talking about anything even *remotely* related to
Amateur Radio with licensed operators. They just can't control
themselves!
