If you want to prototype something fast, I personally wouldn't dick around with DOS. >From my angle, it would be faster to create a minimalist Linux kernel which has a nice, reliable TCP/IP stack, and then put netcat on the machine. You can do just about anything you want with netcat over the wire, IMHO. Arnim.
