I've seen VNC being mentioned in a couple of messages about video support,
I thought I should add my 2 cents.
I think it's an excellent idea; you can then also connect to the virtual
machine from a remote node. I use VNC all the time to access the same
desktop from home, office, while travelling, wherever, and it was
disappointing to realize that I couldn't use VMware through VNC.
Maybe things have changed, but, last time I tried, the VNC mouse would
get completely out of sync with the VMware mouse.
A remotely-accessible virtual machine would be very interesting for
an application service provider (ASP). For non-multimedia office apps
that an ASP is likely to offer, VNC works pretty well through a broadband
connection.
