MultipleWorlds - oh yeah isn't that a method for connecting
the worlds of fantasy and reality? :^)

Though seriously, how would we know until since it's "pending"?

Anyways, I can't imagine what they've patented that is so
new or novel. IBM has been doing VM technology since the
late 1960's. I see their new servers can handle 10,000
Linux VMs. :^)

Let's see... The new architecture uses an ultra dummed down dynamic
translation.
Been done. Emulates hardware, been done way too many times.

Things we could do in the future... Direct use of the hardware
by the guest - been done. We could use a 'hypervisor' u-kernel
instead of using the host kernel to reduce overhead - been done.

I don't know. The more I look around and the more people I've
talked with, the more I realize this isn't new territory.
But you know the drill. Companies like to secure patents and
IP in general to look good for their investors, lenders, etc.

Anyways, since I've talked to some of the people who actually
paved this road (which was started about when I was born!!!),
I'm not losing sleep at night. ;^)
